The Chiposte Grill Menu

Everything we cook is on this page, organized by category so you can scan it fast. Grill plates, bowls, wraps, and sides, plus notes on which items travel best. Pick a category, add items to your cart, then choose pickup or delivery at checkout.

Pickup is available every day, 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Call +1-312-556-1856 for a same-day group order.

How the menu is organized

Categories follow the way the kitchen actually works: grilled mains first, then bowls and wraps, then sides, then drinks. Item descriptions tell you the cooking method and what comes with the plate, not just the protein name. If an item travels poorly, we say so in the description rather than letting you find out in the car.

Grill plates

The grill plates are the heart of the kitchen. Each one is built around a grilled protein cooked to order, rested briefly, then packed so nothing steams itself shut on the way out. Sides come with the plate unless you swap them.

These hold up best over a delivery run, which makes them the safe pick if your address sits on the outer edge of our delivery range. They are also the easiest thing to scale up for a group.

  • Grilled burger plate

    With side

One patty, flat-topped and finished over the grate, on a toasted bun. Served with a side and packed open so the bun does not soak.

  • Grilled chicken plate

    With side

Marinated chicken thighs off the grate, rested and sliced. Travels especially well and reheats cleanly if you eat later.

  • Grilled sausage plate

    With side

Split and charred over high heat, finished with grilled onions. A steady pick for a group that is splitting plates.

  • Mixed grill plate

    With side

A little of everything off the grate, so you are not committing to one protein. Good first order if you are new to the kitchen.

Bowls

Bowls are the build-your-own part of the menu. You pick a base, a protein, and toppings. Components sit together rather than on separate plates, so bowls travel well and reheat cleanly if you do not eat right away. If you are ordering lunch for pickup, a bowl is usually the fastest thing to collect and go.

Build in three steps

Base, protein, toppings. Say what goes on it and the kitchen builds it that way.

Grilled chicken bowl

You choose the base. Grilled chicken on top, then cold toppings added after cooking so they stay crisp in the container.

Grilled vegetable bowl

Grilled peppers, onions and squash off the grate. A bowl that holds up on a longer delivery run without losing texture.

Mixed protein bowl

Half chicken, half sausage, built over the base you pick. Good for a lunch order you are splitting with someone at the desk.

Build your own bowl

Name the base, the protein and the toppings in your order notes. Substitutions depend on what is on the line that day, so keep an eye on the substitutions note further down.

Wraps and handhelds

Wraps are wrapped tight and cut in half, which makes them a natural lunch pickup item. They are built to be eaten without a table, so they suit curbside pickup and carryout better than a long delivery trip.

If you are ordering a wrap for delivery, eat it reasonably soon after it arrives. The tortilla keeps the filling contained but will not stay crisp indefinitely, and we would rather tell you that up front.

  • Grilled chicken wrap

Sliced grilled chicken, cut in half, wrapped to carry.

  • Grilled vegetable wrap

Peppers and onions off the grate, built to eat on the move.

  • Sausage and pepper handheld

Split sausage and grilled peppers in a roll. Best the same hour it is packed.

Ordering wraps for pickup saves the trip and the crisp. Start pickup checkout.

Sides and shareables

Sides are where group orders either work or fall apart. Pick two or three shareables and let people take what they want, rather than ordering five individually customized plates.

Portions are geared to sharing, so a couple of sides covers a table of four comfortably.

Grilled peppers and onions

Charred on the same grate as the mains. The easiest side to put in the middle of a table.

Seasoned fries

Best eaten at the table or picked up. If your address is far out, order these only if you are not fussed about crisp.

Corn off the cob

Buttered and seasoned, packed in a sealed container so it travels better than a cob would.

Side salad

Dressing on the side so it does not wilt before it reaches the plate.

Drinks

Drinks are simple: bottled and canned options that seal well for delivery and carryout. We keep the list short on purpose, because a long drink menu does not survive a car ride and does not help a pickup order much either.

If you need a specific drink for an allergy or dietary reason, note it in your order and we will flag the substitution.

Order ahead and the kitchen cooks to your arrival, not to the courier's schedule.

Breakfast and lunch timing

Breakfast-style items and lunch bowls are pickup-heavy categories. If you are ordering breakfast or lunch, pickup or curbside usually beats delivery on both speed and freshness.

Order ahead on your way in and the kitchen can have it at the counter when you arrive. Midday is the busiest window, so a mobile order placed before you leave is the smoother path.

Pickup order before you leave

Place the order from your phone on the way in. The ticket fires when you send it, and the kitchen works to the pickup time you are given.

Slower hours

Sit-down pace or delivery

Off-peak, grilled plates and bowls arrive in good shape on a delivery run. These hours are the right ones for a longer trip.

What travels well and what doesn't

Grilled plates, bowls, and canned drinks travel well. Fried and crisped items lose their edge fastest, so those are better as pickup.

If your delivery address is further out, stick to the grilled and bowl categories and you will have a better meal. There is no charge for ordering pickup instead, and pickup orders skip the courier step entirely. That is the honest version of the order-smart advice.

Travels well

  • Grilled plates
  • Bowls and build-your-own
  • Canned and bottled drinks

Better as pickup

  • Seasoned fries
  • Wraps and handhelds
  • Anything crisped to order

One menu, two ways to eat it

Some categories split cleanly between delivery and pickup, and pizza is the classic example. Pizza restaurants have run both delivery and carryout for years precisely because the two use cases are different, not because one is better. Grill plates and bowls work the same way for us. Delivery suits a dinner at home; pickup suits lunch on the move or a quick errand stop. Pick the format that matches the meal.

Allergen and substitution notes

If you have an allergy or need a swap, put it in the order notes and call us to confirm. We will flag the ticket so the kitchen sees it before cooking.

Substitutions depend on what is on the line that day, so we can't promise every swap is available at every hour. The safer path for a strict allergy is to call before you order and talk it through with the kitchen directly.

Call the kitchen

Where to put what

Allergy or intolerance
Put it in the order notes and call to confirm so the ticket is flagged before cooking.
Topping or side swap
Ask in the order notes. Whether it is available depends on what the kitchen has on the line that day.
Drink substitution
Note the reason with your drink choice. We will flag the change so it is packed with the right order.
Group or party order
Call to plan quantities before you submit. It is easier to build a shareable spread on the phone than in a cart.

Questions we get about the menu

Can I order for pickup, not delivery?

Yes. Pickup is available every day from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM at 4820 W Irving Park Rd. Order ahead through the online ordering page and the kitchen works to the pickup time you are given.

How do I check whether delivery reaches my block?

Enter your address at checkout and the ordering page will tell you whether delivery is available for it. The pickup and delivery areas page explains how the range works around the Irving Park kitchen.

Which menu items should I avoid ordering for a long delivery trip?

Anything fried or crisped to order loses its edge fastest, and wraps hold up better as pickup. For a longer run, grill plates and bowls arrive in the best shape.

Can I split a group order across pickup and delivery?

You can, though it is easier to talk it through first. Call +1-312-556-1856 and we will look at quantities and timing before you submit two orders.

Is ordering directly through this site cheaper than a marketplace?

We can only tell you how our own ordering works: the menu, prices and order flow on this site are ours, and we take pickup and delivery tickets here directly. What a marketplace adds to its listing is not something we control or quote on their behalf.
